The home health aide course is an extension of the nursing assistant training. It is a didactic model that addresses the transition of skills from an institutional environment to the home setting. The course consists of nine modules, 20 hours classroom instruction including use of state curriculum, lectures, videos and discussion. Students may participate following successful completion of the nursing assistant curriculum.

Prerequisite

1. Pass WORKKEYS reading for information with a score of 4 or above

2. Be enrolled in or have completed and passed the Kansas Certified Nurse Aide Course
